D Rig (easy version)
A step by step guide on how to tie a D Rig.
Use: Bottom bait & wafter.
Difficulty: Easy.
What you will need:
Size 6 Korda Wide Gape X.
Fluorocarbon hook link.
Fine bore rig tubing.
Mini rig swivel.
Scissors.
Size 6 Korda Wide Gape X.
Fluorocarbon hook link.
Fine bore rig tubing.
Mini rig swivel.
Scissors.
Cut around 12 - 14 inches of hook link.
Trim about 3mm of rig tubing and slide on to the hook link.
Trim about 3mm of rig tubing and slide on to the hook link.
Pass the point of the hook through the tubing.
Pass the tail end of the hook link through the back of the eye of the hook.
Tie a 5 wrap knotless knot.
Position the tubing as shown.
Position the tubing as shown.
Put the mini rig swivel on to the tag end.
Pass the tag end through the back of the eye of the hook.
Pass the tag end through the back of the eye of the hook.
Trim the tag end and carefully blob with a lighter.
Tie a figure 8 loop knot in the tail end of the hook link and pull everything tight to set the knots.
Remember to moisten all knots prior to pulling tight.
