What you will need:
Size 6 Gardner Mugga.
Quality coated braid (PB Jelly Wire).
Rig Ring.
Tungsten putty.
Note: Jelly Wire is an exceptional hook link. It lends itself perfectly to this rig, in that the coated section keeps the rig stiff from the swivel, while the uncoated section offers the soft flexibility that is needed for the mechanics of this rig.
Cut around 12 - 14 inches of hook link.
Strip 5" of coating/
Tie a simple overhand loop knot in one end.
Trim off the tag end of the knot.
Thread a rig ring on to the hook link.
Tie an overhand knot under the rig ring, around 1 1/2" under the hair loop.
This is a little tricky as you need to account for the hair length. In this example, the length is for a 18mm boilie plus a topper (Snowman).
Moisten the overhand knot and pull tight.
Pass the hook through the ring, and the tail end of the hook link through the back of the eye of the hook.
Tie a 5 turn knotless knot.
Moisten and pull tight.
You want to aim for around 1" between the hook eye and the braid coating.
Tie a figure 8 loop knot in the tail end of the hook link.
Add tungsten putty to the hook link, where the coating ends.
